Filem-filem P. Ramlee - Satu Kritikan

Bagi sesetengah orang, filem sekadar hiburan. Tapi saya pernah dengar 'filem kita wajah kita'
Our movies our faces.
P. Ramlee,seniman agung. Akira Kurosawa Tanah Melayu.
Saya percaya filem ada kesan terhadap masyarakat.
Or people nowadays suka use term 'rakyat'. Whateva.
Like what Hantu Kak Limah has done. I'd keep dat for later post.
P.Ramlee's films, imo, do reflect how rakyat of Tanah Melayu think. Or thought.
3 of his films yang first crossed my mind-
Do Re Mi (trilogy-Laxmana Do Re Mi, Nasib Do Re Mi, Do Re Mi)
Labu Labi (duology-Labu Labi, Nasib Si Labu Labi)
Ali Baba Bujang Lapok (seriously? so obvious he has a wife!)

Mungkin ayat yang lebih tepat : refleksi pemikiran Melayu di Tanah Melayu

#Laxmana Do Re Mi
Sebelum nak menolong Puteri Bunian yang terkena panah, ditanya dulu
"kalau kami tolong dapat apa?"
Lepas dapat harmonika, kalau nak sesuatu, tiup harmonika boleh dapat.
Nak makan, nak ubat, apa pun ok.

#Labu Labi
Mimpi pertama jadi kaya, mimpi kedua jadi tarzan.
Mimpi ketiga jadi cowboy, mimpi keempat jumpa harta-jadi kaya.
Jumpa pendeta minta batu hikmat, masalah selesai.
Semua sekadar mimpi. Creative tho.

#Ali Baba Bujang Lapok
Habis gandum pinjam orang.
Jumpa harta jadi kaya (again)

Please don't get me wrong.
(but that's your right ofcos, don't worry maa no ISA anymore)
I love his works, they're (most of them) brilliant.
I laugh every time I watch above films and a lot others, eventho I swear to myself every time to hold my laugh.
But my point here has nothing to do with the awesomeness.

Let's look for some more eh?
